About The Manual-

The "1969 Mustang Cobra Jet Engine Reference Manual" is a technical specifications manual similar in detail to an NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) judge's reference, and is a very different approach for a Mustang publication. The "1969 Mustang Cobra Jet Engine Reference Manual" provides enough information to restore these engines to the thoroughbred level and beyond, but is a useful resource as an aid to restoration at any level. It is 40 pages of hard copy and tables and has no pictures. The "1969 Mustang Cobra Jet Engine Reference Manual is single-side-printed on heavy bond paper with lots of room for writing notes and is a "must have" for the garage and swap meets.

The "1969 Mustang Cobra Jet Engine Reference Manual" literally covers the Cobra Jet engine from the motor mounts to the air filter housing! It includes specific details about original assembly line techniques and markings, production variations, known original bolt surface finishes and head markings, and differences between original and reproduction parts. The "1969 Mustang Cobra Jet Engine Reference Manual" is an excellent source of information for all cars equipped with 428 Cobra Jets, and is a valuable reference for other sixties vintage motors. It does not, however, include details specific to Shelbys, Fairlanes and Cougars or early and late cars, like Shelby ram air inlets, Fairlane motor mounts, or the 1970 style heater tubes, and may not include all part number references for these applications.  The "1969 Mustang Cobra Jet Engine Reference Manual" is not a rebuilding or performance modifications' manual, and internal differences (pistons, rods, crankshaft) are not covered.
